How do I get started?
You can have your account up and running in less than 5 minutes. Simply create an account and confirm your email address by clicking on the confirmation link in the email you will receive. Login to your account and for the size of banner you want to display on a page of your site (note - you can only add our adcode once per page of your site), select the menu link to get exchange code. Paste that javascript snippet into your html code and save. Your site will then start displaying banners from our network and earning your impressions for your own banners to use.

How do I maximise the impressions I receive.
You get 9 impressions credited for you to use for every 10 banners you display. So putting the banner ad exchange code on high pageview URL's will help to build up your impressions. You also get 10 impressions per clickthrough from a banner you display, so place the banner code in high visibility areas of your site. YOu can also refer new members to whambanners banner exchange and earn an unlimited, lifetime 50% of their earned impression credits as well.

Dumping the ad code at the bottom of your pages, or only on low-traffic pages will mean less views and clicks.

do you have a referral program?
Yes. In your account you can grab a unique URL. When someone clicks on that URL to join whambanners, you will get 10% of the impressions they earn - forever! So the more referrals you send, the more free banner traffic you will get.

Can any website use whambanners?
If you can paste javascript code into your site and run it then yes you can. Inside the members area you will find a knowledgebase that contains information to help you get the code installed. Our code can be used with Wordpress (self-hosted only, not Wordpress.com blogs as adverts in those blogs are against their TOS), Blogger, Drupal, Joomla, Phpbb, Vbulletin, most other CMS and forum software and of course static html, shtml, asp and php files.

Will showing ads on my site take my visitors away?
No. You earn impression credits every time someone clicks on an ad on your site, so the more clicks out you get, the more clicks in you will get from your banners eing displayed across our banner adnetwork. So the traffic in that respect will balance out AND the traffic coming in will be targeted clickthrough traffic rather than random surfers. Also, when you click on one of our ads it opens the target page in a new browser window, so your visitor does not have to leave your site and in our testing over 94% of people did not leave the site but visited the link they clicked afterwards.

How easy is it, and how much does it cost to advertise on the whambanners network?
Our rates are hugely competitive. Advertisers, or exchange members wishing to add extra click credits to their accounts, pay one low rate of just $5 per 25K impressions. You can allocate impressions from your account funds to specific banner ad sizes, so you are always in control of how much you are spending on your campaign.
